Blue Garnet Partners with SCG for 2012 Annual Conference

This November, Southern California Grantmaker’s Annual Conference brought together nearly 200 philanthropic leaders from across the region to challenge their current thinking, connect people and ideas, and lead forward in a collaborative way. The conference was our first opportunity to work together with SCG, and we partnered to implement a series of “Ignite” presentations (20 slides that automatically progress every 15 seconds). We had used this dynamic format with some great speakers at our Strategy Lab back in June, and we were excited to be able to inspire a new audience.

Thanks to SCG, we were also fortunate to have our team attend conference sessions throughout the two days, including workshops on power dynamics, designing stakeholder engagement, navigating difficult conversations, coaching, and even a walking tour of El Pueblo. The team at SCG did a tremendous job in developing a full program that truly represented the conference motto to “challenge, connect, lead.”

We are thankful to SCG for the opportunity to work together on such a thought-provoking event, and send our thanks to the amazing speakers and the tremendous amount of work they put in:
